Why black clothes on this day?

Although black is considered inauspicious during festive season in Hindu religion. It is the day when sun starts moving to the northern hemisphere and hence it marks the end of winter. It is believed that the black color absorbs the heat, thus it increases the body heat as we wear black.

Makar Sankranti being a festival related to Lord Surya it is considered to be very auspicious to donate, gift and to wear Rudraksha. Wearing a 1 Mukhi, 12 Mukhi and a 19 Mukhi is excellent for meditative focus, fame & success and for managing large business corporations respectively. The ruling planet of the above three Rudraksha is the Sun. To know further about them in detail you can visit our website, www.rudralife.com.
